- Steve Jones revealed he hasn't spoken to John Lydon since their last performance in 2008.
- Jones reformed the Sex Pistols with new members and has had successful performances.
- The ongoing feud between Lydon and the group remains unresolved, further complicated by a recent documentary.
In Spain, during 2008, Steve Jones and his fellow Sex Pistols bandmates completed their final tour together. Since then, Jones has not communicated with John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten. Recently, Jones revived the band with drummer Paul Cook, bass player Glen Matlock, and new lead vocalist Frank Carter, performing two charity gigs in London followed by a UK tour. This revival provoked Lydon's anger, as he has been engaged in a long-standing feud with the group since their disbandment in 1978. Additionally, the 2022 release of a Disney+ series detailing the band's history reignited tensions, as Lydon attempted to block the use of their music in the show. After losing a legal battle, he described his former bandmates as greedy and claimed the outcome had financial repercussions for him.
