Munish Sharma, Chairman of the Marathwada Auto Cluster (MAC), highlighted the urgent need for skilled labor to accommodate the growing investments in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Speaking at the 12th anniversary of MAC and the Trade Expo – 2024 inauguration, Sharma noted that major multinational companies, including Toyota and Ather Energy, have chosen Bidkin as a significant investment hub, underscoring the region's economic potential. In a separate development, the Maharashtra Resident Doctors Association (MARD) announced the end of a 10-day strike, with doctors returning to work following negotiations with officials. MARD President Dr. Rohan Gaikwad confirmed that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had made favorable decisions regarding the doctors' demands, facilitating the resolution of the strike. Meanwhile, auto-rickshaw drivers and owners protested at the district collectorate against steep fines for traffic violations, which have surged from ₹100-₹200 to ₹1,500-₹2,000 due to new online fine recovery measures. The drivers expressed concerns over their livelihoods, particularly with the rise of electric rickshaws and the impact on petrol and diesel auto-rickshaw operators. Additionally, the tribal community organized an Akrosh Morcha at the Nanded district collectorate, demanding action against fraudulent Scheduled Tribe certificates and better implementation of government schemes. Community leaders addressed the crowd and later submitted a memorandum to the district collector, highlighting the plight of genuine tribals who are being denied benefits due to the misuse of caste certificates.
