Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has reached out to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, urging her assistance in locating filmmaker Sanoj Kumar Mishra, who has reportedly gone missing in Kolkata. Mishra, known for directing "The Diary of West Bengal," has been at the center of controversy following the release of the film's trailer, which led to legal action from the West Bengal government. In an Instagram post, Ranaut detailed the circumstances surrounding Mishra's disappearance. She stated that he traveled to Kolkata on August 14 to attend a court hearing related to the case filed against him. Ranaut expressed concern for Mishra's wife, who has been desperately trying to find her husband, and emphasized the emotional toll the situation has taken on her. She implored Banerjee to assist in locating the missing director. Prior to his disappearance, Mishra had voiced his fears regarding his safety on social media, indicating that he felt immense pressure from the government in relation to his film.
