The ad, titled "She Did That," references a congratulatory call Harris made to President Biden in November 2020, where she remarked, "We did it, Joe," juxtaposing it with rising costs under the Biden administration. Scott emphasizes the impact of inflation, stating, "Now everything is more expensive," as he showcases images of protests related to the Israel-Hamas conflict. In the advertisement, Scott highlights protests where demonstrators have chanted "Death to America" and burned flags, further criticizing the Biden administration's handling of the southern border crisis. He asserts that the administration has provided resources to criminals involved in drug trafficking, stating, "They gave money, housing and health care to criminals bringing drugs into our country." Scott positions himself as a challenger to the policies of the Biden-Harris administration, declaring, "I’m Rick Scott, they did it, we’re going to undo it." In response, Harris' campaign has distanced itself from the "border czar" label while touting the administration's achievements, including a strong economy and a significant decrease in border encounters. Harris emphasized her commitment to affordable housing, healthcare, and reducing living costs for American families during a recent speech in Philadelphia, asserting that her administration fights for a future of opportunity and economic growth.
