The Naperville Police Department reported that the crash took place at the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive around 10:30 a.m. The woman was struck by a green 2024 Jeep Wrangler while she was riding her bicycle in the crosswalk on the south side of Ogden Avenue. Preliminary investigations revealed that the Jeep, driven by a 44-year-old woman from Wheaton, was traveling westbound on Ogden Avenue. As she made a left turn onto southbound Royal Saint George Drive at a solid green light, the vehicle collided with the bicyclist. Emergency responders arrived promptly, and Dimas-Jimenez was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit were dispatched to the scene to gather evidence and analyze the circumstances surrounding the crash.
