Quebec police watchdog investigates serious injury in Montreal

This morning, Quebec’s independent police watchdog initiated an investigation following a serious injury sustained by an individual during a police intervention in Montreal. The incident occurred after Montreal police responded to a 911 call at 2:15 a.m. regarding a person in crisis at a residence in the city’s east end. Upon arriving at the scene, officers entered the home and an injury occurred during their response. The individual was provided first aid and is currently in critical condition at a hospital. The Bureau des enquetes independantes is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter alongside Quebec provincial police, who are also looking into the events that led to the police intervention.
