Gaza faces starvation crisis as supply blockade enters second month

In Gaza, the ongoing humanitarian situation has dramatically worsened as the blockade of supplies by Israeli authorities now enters its second month. As of April 24, 2025, the agency noted that they had completely run out of flour, exacerbating the already dire circumstances for families struggling to feed their children amidst skyrocketing food prices. Only six of 22 UNRWA health centers are currently operational, and the lack of medical supplies has resulted in critical shortages of both medicine and fuels needed to power hospital generators.
