Chesapeake Utilities unveils 2023 environmental report in Dover

The report highlights a 25% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions since 2019, with a 10% reduction year-over-year. This achievement coincides with the company's 17th consecutive year of increased earnings, demonstrating a commitment to both environmental responsibility and financial growth. The company has implemented various initiatives to support its sustainability goals, including the establishment of a cross-functional methane emissions reduction committee in early 2024. Additionally, Chesapeake Utilities has invested in renewable infrastructure, such as a waste-to-RNG facility and the MACH2TM hydrogen hub, which contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of its operations.
