Blind duck Geraldine rescued after being bullied by other ducks

Within a short amount of time of her arrival at the charity, two volunteers, who expressed a particular affection for older and disabled animals, decided to adopt her, ensuring she would be removed from her worrying situation. At the charity, Ebdale explained that while they were compassionate about Geraldine's situation, their limited facilities meant they could not provide her with the long-term care she required. It was crucial that Geraldine find a safe and comfortable environment where she could thrive without fear of competition from other birds or potential harm. Ebdale conveyed the importance of having her feeding location accessible since Geraldine is blind, emphasizing the need for consistent warmth and dryness to meet her essential comfort and health needs. In her new adoptive home, all of Geraldine's needs will be carefully addressed. She will no longer face bullying or pecking from other animals, enabling a peaceful and secure life. Additionally, she is scheduled to see a veterinarian soon to have her eyes examined, further ensuring her health and well-being.
