Poland secures deal for 1,000 K2PL tanks from South Korea

Poland is actively modernizing its military capabilities in response to perceived threats from Russia, particularly under the influence of increasing Russian irredentism. In July 2022, Poland signed an initial framework agreement with Hyundai Rotem, the leading defense manufacturer in South Korea, to acquire 1,000 K2 Black Panther tanks, which are among the most advanced tanks available globally.
