Costa Coffee announces major shake
- Costa Coffee has added a 'Swaps' feature to its loyalty scheme.
- Customers can now exchange two 'beans' for syrups, cream, or an extra shot of coffee.
- The new feature aims to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
Costa Coffee has announced significant changes to its loyalty program, allowing members to exchange their loyalty "beans" for a variety of rewards. Under the updated Costa Club scheme, customers earn one bean for each drink purchased, or two beans when using a reusable cup. Previously, ten beans were required for a free drink, but the new "Swaps" feature enables members to trade two beans for enhancements such as syrups, cream, or an extra shot of coffee. In an email to customers, Costa Coffee introduced the Swaps feature as an added benefit for Costa Club members, encouraging them to personalize their drinks. Patrick Steele, Head of Loyalty and Customer Engagement, emphasized the company's commitment to providing a tailored experience, stating that the new feature allows members to enjoy small treats more frequently. The Costa Club app is designed to enhance the overall coffee experience for loyal customers. Additionally, Costa Coffee confirmed the return of its popular Maple Hazel Iced Latte for the autumn season. Costa Club members will have exclusive early access to this seasonal drink, which features flavors of roasted hazelnut and maple, topped with Light Whip and a crunchy biscuit topping. Members can start ordering the Maple Hazel Iced Latte from August 23, ahead of its general availability. These changes reflect Costa Coffee's ongoing efforts to engage and reward its loyal customer base while enhancing their overall experience.
