Story

In the ongoing adjustments made by Major League Baseball in response to unforeseen circumstances, the league has relocated a couple of series involving the Tampa Bay Rays. The decision was made to hold these games in the initial months of the season to prevent issues stemming from summer weather at Steinbrenner Field, which is currently the Rays' temporary home after the damage to Tropicana Field. Following Hurricane Milton's destruction on October 9, the Rays are faced with the challenge of making Steinbrenner Field their new venue until a projected return to Tropicana Field in 2026, if feasible. This season, Tampa Bay will play 13 of their first 16 games at home, totaling 47 of 59 games before May 28. However, their schedule becomes more demanding as they will play 69 of their last 103 games on the road, with only a few home games scheduled through July and August. The rescheduling also affects matchups with teams like the Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins, further reshaping their season.
