Lily Allen, the 39-year-old singer and actress, recently took to Instagram to share her experience of returning from a trip to the Great Bear Rainforest in Canada, where she showcased some noticeable mosquito bites. The trip was a solo venture, as she left her two daughters, Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, at home. This getaway comes on the heels of a controversial decision she made regarding her pet dog, which she had to give away after it caused significant trouble by chewing through important documents, including passports and visas. In her latest podcast episode of "Miss Me?", Allen discussed the challenges she faced with her previous dog, which she described as "very badly behaved." She expressed her frustration, stating that the dog's destructive behavior, particularly the incident involving the passports, was the final straw. Despite this experience, Allen is planning to welcome a new dog into her family, which she and her daughters have whimsically decided to name Jude Bellingham. Living in New York with her husband David Harbour, 49, and her children, Allen also addressed a personal issue regarding her surname. She revealed that she still uses her ex-husband Sam Cooper's surname, which has created complications while traveling with her children. Allen noted that having a different surname from her children can be problematic, especially during travel, and acknowledged the awkwardness it creates in her relationship with Harbour, particularly concerning their joint finances.
