FREMONT – A teaching assistant at the California School for the Deaf, Brandon Duran, 25, has been arrested by Fremont police on suspicion of multiple sexual assaults involving juvenile students. The arrest follows reports from several students who alleged that Duran committed sexual offenses in both Fremont and Livermore. Duran is linked to at least three separate incidents and faces serious charges, including annoying or molesting a child, oral copulation with a minor, and unlawful sexual penetration, among others. He was taken into custody on Thursday and is currently held at Santa Rita Jail with a bail set at $190,000. An arraignment is scheduled for Monday. Authorities are actively investigating the case and are seeking additional potential victims who may have had interactions with Duran. The police department encourages anyone with further information to come forward. Detectives are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who may have witnessed or experienced similar incidents.
