Story

Broadcaster Scott Mills is gearing up for a revealing experience on the upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across The World, where he warns fans they may witness a more candid and grumpy side of him. Mills explained that while his radio persona showcases the best version of himself for three hours daily, the reality of the race will expose his true self, including moments of fatigue and frustration. “People will see the real me,” he stated, acknowledging that he can’t maintain a cheerful facade around the clock. Mills, who has a preference for home comforts, reflected on his limited camping experience, recalling a childhood trip to the New Forest. He noted that while his peers were backpacking during their youth, he was focused on his radio career, missing out on traditional gap year adventures. This lack of outdoor experience adds to his apprehension about the challenges ahead in the race. To prepare for the demanding journey, Mills has packed essential items, including coffee, which he admits is crucial for his mornings. “I’m pretty terrible in the mornings without it,” he confessed, highlighting his need for comfort in an unfamiliar setting. The race will feature a diverse group of participants, including broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy, actor Kola Bokinni with cousin Mary Ellen, broadcaster Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy, alongside Mills and his partner Sam, embarking on a thrilling 12,500 km adventure.
