Philippines restaurant faces backlash for denying entry to mixed breed dog

Inka Magnaye, a content creator, highlighted the irony of a Filipino restaurant being unwelcoming to Asong Pinoys, the local term for mixed breed dogs. The Philippine Animal Welfare Society also commented, urging the restaurant to clarify its apology and address the specific issue regarding Yoda. Despite the backlash, Balay Dako stated they would review their policies to ensure clarity and fairness for both pet owners and non-pet owners. However, critics felt that the restaurant's response did not adequately address the discrimination faced by Yoda. Antonio expressed her frustration, stating that her intent in sharing the post was to warn others about the restaurant's misleading pet-friendly claims. Antonio, who rescued Yoda, emphasized the bond they share and her commitment to animal welfare.
