PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – American Airlines has announced the expansion of its Landline bus connection service, which will now include Wilmington Airport, enhancing travel options for passengers flying out of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The new service is set to commence on October 7, allowing travelers to check their bags to their final destinations and pass through TSA security before boarding the bus in Wilmington, Delaware. The bus service will operate six round trips daily, arriving at PHL within the secured area of Terminal F. This initiative aims to alleviate the hassle of parking at the airport and navigating through potentially long security lines, providing a more streamlined travel experience for passengers. Each bus is designed to be handicap accessible and is equipped with amenities such as onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets, and restrooms. In addition to the new Wilmington connection, American Airlines already offers bus services linking Philadelphia with Lehigh Valley International Airport and Atlantic City. The airline is also set to expand its bus service to include Wilkes-Barre Scranton in August. Travelers can conveniently book these bus connections alongside their flight reservations. Moreover, passengers utilizing the bus service will earn reward miles with American Airlines for their ground transit, further incentivizing the use of this new travel option. This expansion reflects the airline's commitment to enhancing connectivity and convenience for its customers.
