1inch Launches Fusion+ for Secure Cross-Chain Swaps in Dubai

1inch has launched Fusion+, an upgrade aimed at enhancing cross-chain swaps for users in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. This new feature allows users to maintain full self-custody of their assets while ensuring that transactions are completed on both networks involved in the swap without the need for third-party intermediaries. The upgrade builds on the intent-based approach introduced with the original 1inch Fusion and incorporates advanced atomic swap technology. The atomic swap technology integrated into Fusion+ provides a secure and trustless environment for users. It allows for all-or-nothing transactions governed by smart contracts, which verify the conditions of the swap, eliminating the need for mutual trust between parties. This ensures that both users can exchange assets without relying on each other or any external entities, making the process entirely trustless. Currently, Fusion+ is in its beta phase, requiring users to manually enable the feature in the settings of the 1inch dApp. Once the testing period concludes, cross-chain swaps will be automatically enabled for all users. The mechanics of the swap involve a Dutch auction process, where the price decreases until a resolver accepts the order, followed by the locking of funds in escrow contracts on both networks. The launch of Fusion+ represents a significant advancement in the Web3 ecosystem, providing users with a seamless and secure method for conducting cross-chain swaps.
