British Police Seek Public Help in Dog Search After Man's Death

West Midlands police have launched an urgent appeal for public assistance in locating two dogs potentially involved in a fatal attack on a 33-year-old man in Rubery. Officers responding to reports of loose dogs discovered the man's body at the scene, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. A post-mortem examination is underway to establish the exact cause. Police Dog Unit Inspector Leanne Chapman emphasized the importance of public cooperation, urging anyone who spots the dogs to refrain from approaching them and to contact authorities immediately. The dogs in question are believed to be American Bulldog-types, with two already captured by police. However, two additional dogs that were present at the location during the incident remain unaccounted for. Birmingham Police Superintendent Sally Simpson described the situation as a "tragic incident" and confirmed that the victim's family is receiving support from officers. The investigation is ongoing, with a primary focus on locating the remaining dogs believed to be involved in the attack. To aid in the search, police are conducting house-to-house inquiries, utilizing drones, and reviewing security camera footage. They have released an image of one of the dogs and described the second as similar in appearance but with black fur.
