This funding will increase the total amount received to 41 percent of the available funds, equating to 1.1 billion euros, which includes 673 million euros in grants and 426 million euros in loans. As of now, Slovenia has fulfilled 64 milestones and targets, representing 31 percent of the total 205 milestones and targets set. The country has already disbursed over 535 million euros to final recipients for completed project activities, indicating significant progress in utilizing the funds effectively. The Office for Recovery and Resilience highlighted that more than 1,000 projects are either completed, underway, or about to commence, focusing on digital and green transitions. Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič emphasized the extensive work and coordination required to meet these milestones, acknowledging the efforts of ministry employees and the Office for Recovery and Resilience. The goal remains to maximize the utilization of available funds, which are crucial for implementing necessary reforms and investments. Looking ahead, Slovenia has access to a total of 1.61 billion euros in grants and 1.07 billion euros in loans from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism until the end of 2026. This funding is essential for the country’s recovery and development following the challenges posed by the corona crisis.
