- This innovation aims to improve the electric vehicle charging experience and support green travel initiatives.
In Zhejiang province, China, a new integrated solar energy storage and charging station was launched in Longquan, Lishui, providing enhanced charging facilities for electric vehicle owners. The station, which occupies 1,900 square meters, features an innovative combination of solar power generation, energy storage, charging equipment, and an efficient control system. It hosts 27 parking spaces for charging, which include high-capacity supercharging and fast charging options. The innovative design incorporates 117.13 kW of distributed photovoltaics alongside a 115 kW storage capacity, thus facilitating adaptable energy management as per charging needs and grid conditions. It draws on solar energy during peak consumption times to power its charging infrastructure, while conversely using grid-sourced energy to recharge its storage during off-peak periods. This dual functionality aids in stabilizing output variations associated with solar energy generation and enhances the overall efficiency of power distribution. This charging station's launch marks a significant milestone for the State Grid Zhejiang Power Supply Company in advancing their competitiveness in the charging services sector. Notably, the liquid-cooled supercharging systems included at the station allow for charging speeds substantially quicker than traditional methods, promising a range increase with minimal charging time, thereby reducing the wait for electric vehicle users. Furthermore, the station boasts multiple types of charging options, addressing the pressing concern of charging anxiety among electric vehicle users. With improved infrastructure, the company aims to provide a seamless and efficient experience, especially benefitting users returning home during peak travel periods, such as the Spring Festival, and contributing to greener travel initiatives.
