On October 8, 2024, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, along with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other officials, participated in the 'Gram Vikas Sammelan' held in Bhairunda, Sehore district. The event included the launch of two mobile applications aimed at enhancing rural housing and infrastructure planning under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural. Additionally, the government dedicated eight processing units and established 100 community training centers to support local development initiatives. During the event, significant financial support was announced, including a bonus of Rs 2.70 crore for 52,818 tendu leaf collectors in Sehore and a grant of Rs 1,04,27,000 for bamboo cultivation, benefiting 215 individuals under the Bamboo Mission Scheme. This financial assistance aims to bolster the livelihoods of local communities and promote sustainable practices in the region. The establishment of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) centers in five new districts was also approved, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing employment opportunities in rural areas.
