- Naidu's government aims to restore traditions and improve temple administration, ensuring respect for devotees' sentiments.
On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of protecting the sanctity of temples and respecting the sentiments of devotees. He criticized the previous government for failing to address irregularities in temple administration, including the incident involving the broken statue of Lord Ram at Sriramteertham Temple. Naidu highlighted that the past regime neglected the concerns of the public and retaliated against those who raised issues regarding temple management. Naidu also addressed the controversy surrounding the quality of Tirumala Laddu, stating that the National Diary Development Board's report on its poor quality was met with attempts to deflect blame rather than provide explanations. He questioned the feasibility of sourcing quality ghee at a low price and stressed the need for careful decision-making regarding sacred places like Tirumala. Under his leadership, the new TTD Executive Officer has implemented measures to improve the quality of the laddus. The Chief Minister mentioned that discussions with dharmic scholars and Seers would guide the purification measures for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He criticized former TTD Chairman Subba Reddy for disregarding the traditions and customs associated with the TTD, emphasizing the unique qualities of the Tirumala laddu that others have failed to replicate. Naidu concluded by recalling past attempts by Jagan's father, Rajasekhara Reddy, to undermine the sanctity of the Seven Hills, which ultimately did not succeed. His government aims to restore and uphold the traditions and sanctity of temples in Andhra Pradesh.
