Farrah Fawcett's son shows apparent Nazi tattoos in court

Redmond O'Neal, the son of actors Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom this week with what appeared to be two 'SS' lightning-bolt tattoos on the left side of his neck. The tattoos were visible in photographs taken by the Daily Mail. O'Neal's case involves multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and second-degree robbery, stemming from incidents in Venice, California. His defense attorney, Dana Cole, did not deny the tattoos but claimed they were not new, stating that O'Neal got them years ago while suffering from serious mental illness. Cole also noted that O'Neal has no way to remove the tattoos while in prison and expressed that O'Neal likely wants them gone. The court proceedings have been complicated by concerns about O'Neal's mental competency, which stalled the case for years. During a preliminary hearing in June, alleged victim Kenneth Fox testified that O'Neal attacked him with a glass bottle and hurled homophobic slurs. However, police reports did not mention the slurs, and Cole pointed out that Fox only said he was punched in the nose. Another alleged victim, actor Seth Folkerson, testified that O'Neal stabbed him five times in May 2018, but Folkerson could not remember many details due to head wounds. O'Neal's defense team asked to postpone the arraignment to October to file motions to dismiss some charges, including the robbery charge involving a 7-Eleven clerk and an assault charge involving a café employee named Samantha Cline. Cline testified that she was wary of O'Neal when he entered the café. O'Neal's godmother, who has been supportive, said he has 'found God' during incarceration and his mental health has improved with treatment at Patton State Hospital. The case continues to unfold, with the next hearing scheduled for October.
