Colombia faces tragedy as earthquake kills over 130 people

Colombia experienced a devastating earthquake, the strongest since 1979, resulting in at least 132 fatalities and over 500 injuries. The earthquake struck just three days after the inauguration of President Abelardo de la Espriella, who now faces the challenge of leading the country through this crisis. The hardest-hit areas include Pereira, Cali, and Quibdó, where many buildings collapsed, and a significant number of people remain missing.
