Cargo ship sinks after collision near Istanbul, search for crew underway
In Turkey, a cargo ship sank after colliding with an oil tanker near Istanbul on September 1, 2026. The Tugberk Imamoglu, carrying rolled steel, lost contact with its crew of 10 after the incident. Search operations were launched, but the crew members have not been found.
