Albanian ambassador criticizes UK media for misrepresenting migrant surge

He pointed out that the approval rate for Albanian visa applications was significantly lower than that of other Balkan countries, which may have pushed vulnerable individuals toward illegal routes and traffickers. Ferizi's report, based on data from the Home Office and the Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford, calls for a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing migration patterns and urges British politicians to focus on addressing underlying issues such as youth unemployment rather than scapegoating specific communities.
