The Conservative Party's overall standing has not mirrored Badenoch's personal ratings. While the party's vote share has seen a slight increase from 17 percent to an average of 20 percent in recent months, only 19 percent of Britons believe the Conservatives are ready for government. This is an improvement from just 9 percent last October, but it still falls short of the 57 percent who view the party as unfit for a return to power. In a direct comparison, the public currently favors new Labour leader Andy Burnham over Badenoch by a margin of 12 points regarding who would make the better prime minister. However, Badenoch does outperform Reform UK leader Nigel Farage in a head-to-head matchup, receiving 41 percent support compared to Farage's 17 percent.
