Nancy Guthrie, the mother of "TODAY" show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1 in Tucson, Arizona. The case was quickly deemed an abduction by authorities, and the FBI released doorbell camera footage showing a masked and armed man outside her home shortly before her disappearance. Despite extensive efforts, Guthrie has remained missing, and authorities have provided few concrete leads. In February, President Donald Trump personally reached out to Savannah Guthrie, offering all available federal law enforcement assistance. In late July, authorities released two ransom notes believed to be from the kidnappers, and earlier that month, a California man pleaded guilty to sending a false ransom note.
