Venezuela's new ambassador presents credentials to Spain's king

In Madrid, Timothy Zambrano, the new Venezuelan ambassador to Spain, presented his credentials to King Philip VI at the Royal Palace. This formal ceremony, which took place recently, also included ambassadors from Chile, Palestine, Thailand, Ghana, and Nigeria. Zambrano, who also serves as Venezuela's representative to the World Tourism Organization, replaces Gladys Gutiérrez. His appointment came after the United States deposed and arrested Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, leading to a new government under Delcy Rodríguez. The ceremony is a traditional diplomatic protocol dating back to the 18th century.
