EasyJet cabin crew in Portugal vote to strike in October and December over pay and working conditions
EasyJet cabin crew in Portugal, represented by the SNPVAC union, have voted to stage two strikes in 2026 over pay and working conditions. The first strike is scheduled from 2 to 6 October, and the second from 19 to 23 December. The union says the airline has ignored their concerns about unstable rosters, unequal treatment, and low pay. The October strike could ground around 500 flights at Lisbon, Porto, and Faro airports. The December strike may cause more disruption during the Christmas travel season. EasyJet has expressed disappointment and says it will try to minimise impact on passengers.
