Bulgaria removes excise duty on liquefied petroleum gas to counter rising fuel prices
Fuel prices in Bulgaria continued to rise this week, with diesel reaching EUR 1.95 per litre, up 3.72% from the previous week. A95 petrol rose to EUR 1.68 per litre, a 3.07% increase. LPG and CNG also became more expensive. In response, the Bulgarian government announced on September 18 the removal of excise duty on LPG and subsidies for public transport, school transport, and medical transport to mitigate the impact of high fuel costs.
