BBC removes sketches from British comedy series That Mitchell and Webb Look on iPlayer

The BBC has edited the British sketch comedy series That Mitchell and Webb Look for its iPlayer service, removing several sketches after deciding the material "no longer works today." The show, which originally aired from 2006 to 2010, featured comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb. Removed content included scenes with war re-enactors in blackface, a joke about Jimmy Savile, and a sketch with a burka-clad contestant. The decision was made in consultation with the creators. Comedian Dom Joly criticized the move as excessive censorship, arguing the sketches were satirical. This follows similar edits to Little Britain in 2022.
