UK soldier dies in road accident in Ukraine

A member of the UK armed forces died in a road traffic incident in Ukraine on Saturday, 12 September, the Ministry of Defence announced. The incident was not the result of hostile action, and the family has been informed. The UK has a small number of personnel in Ukraine supporting Kyiv's forces and providing security. This is the second UK military death in Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
