Gaza artists paint mural of rapper Macklemore after he was dropped from Ed Sheeran tour

Artists in Gaza City painted a mural of rapper Macklemore wrapped in a Palestinian flag on a concrete slab in the ruins, thanking him for his support. This came after Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour for criticizing Israel's military assault on Gaza. Macklemore pledged $1 million from tour earnings to Gaza aid groups, and Sheeran reportedly pledged $2 million. The mural was created by Anne Redwan and Qusai al-Helo. Nearly a year after a ceasefire, reconstruction in Gaza has not begun, and most residents rely on aid.
