Widow's Bay wins top comedy Emmy at 2026 awards

At the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 14, 2026, the Apple TV+ series Widow's Bay won Outstanding Comedy Series. The award was presented by Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. Series creator Katie Dippold accepted the award, thanking the show's supernatural element. The series also won acting awards for Matthew Rhys, Dale Dickey, and Kate O'Flynn. Widow's Bay had been renewed for a second season in June 2026.
