Lidl Great Britain, the UK arm of the German discount supermarket, reported revenues of £13 billion for the year ending February, a 10.8% increase from the previous year. The growth was driven by a 12% rise in sales of its Deluxe premium range and a 19% increase in non-food items. Operating profit rose to £345 million, and pre-tax profit jumped 31% to £205.5 million. Around 43 million more customers visited its stores, aided by price investments and expansion. Lidl now operates over 1,000 UK stores and plans to open 50 more by February 2027.
