Indian Air Force cycling expedition from Kanyakumari to Kargil honors 1999 war heroes

An Indian Air Force cycling expedition from Kanyakumari to Kargil, led by Group Captain A K Singh, is in its final phase. The 18-member team departed Jammu for Udhampur on September 28, after starting the concluding leg from New Delhi on September 22. The expedition aims to reach the Kargil War Memorial on October 8 to pay tribute to soldiers who died in the 1999 Kargil War. It is part of the IAF's 94th anniversary celebrations and also seeks to inspire young people to join the defence forces.
