Taylor Swift wins video of the year at MTV Video Music Awards for "The Fate of Ophelia"

At the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 27, Taylor Swift won video of the year for her showgirl-inspired video "The Fate of Ophelia," which she dedicated to the late Dolly Parton. The video was the first single from Swift's 2025 album "The Life of a Showgirl." Swift also received the inaugural Artist Director Honors. Madonna was named artist of the year, and Lisa of Blackpink won best pop video. Winners were chosen by fan votes.
