Romania's interim defense minister says about 450 additional US troops arrived in the country

Romania's interim Defense Minister, Radu Miruță, said that about 440-450 additional American troops have arrived in Romania recently, increasing the US military presence there. He made this statement on TVR 1, noting that while US presence has decreased in other countries, it has grown in Romania. Miruță affirmed that this is in Romania's interest and mentioned discussions at NATO and presidential levels about US troops on NATO's Eastern Flank. He also highlighted Romania's development of a military base at Mihail Kogălniceanu.
