Turkish club Trabzonspor hires German coach Thomas Reis to replace Fatih Tekke

Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor hired German coach Thomas Reis on a two-year contract, replacing Fatih Tekke, who resigned after the team's Europa League elimination. Reis, previously at Bulgarian club Ludogorets, cited the opportunity to work with Mohamed Salah as a key reason for joining. Trabzonspor, currently ninth in the league, will pay Ludogorets 900,000 euros in compensation. Reis previously coached Samsunspor to a third-place finish in Turkey. The team faces Galatasaray this Saturday and starts their Conference League campaign in Finland on October 15.
