Judge rules Barclays five activists will not face terrorism sentencing
In August 2024, five Palestine Action activists vandalized a Barclays Bank branch in Burnley, UK, causing over £200,000 in damages. They protested against the bank's investments in the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems. After being found guilty in June 2026, a judge ruled on August 21, 2026, that they would not be sentenced as terrorists, as their actions did not meet the necessary criteria.
