Spain's vehicle production fell 1.8% in first eight months of 2026, industry group Anfac reports

In Spain, vehicle production fell 1.8% in the first eight months of 2026, totaling 1,452,791 units, according to Anfac data released on September 22. July output rose 3.3% to 193,806 vehicles, but August dropped 15.5% to 59,443. Electrified vehicle production grew 14.5% to 643,130 units, representing 44.3% of total output. Exports declined 2.8% to 1,235,865 vehicles, with Europe as the main destination. Anfac's director noted new electrified models are arriving but production remains below 2019 and 2023 levels.
