Thailand's Industrial Estate Authority launches RAPID Forward strategy to attract global investment

On September 21, 2026, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (I-EA-T) announced its new "I-EA-T RAPID Forward" strategy in Bangkok. The strategy aims to strengthen Thailand's industrial ecosystem by removing regulatory barriers, shortening administrative processes, upgrading infrastructure and clean-energy systems, and improving investor services. It includes the Thailand FastPass program, five "Quick Wins" for immediate improvements, and participation in a World Bank-supported low-carbon project. The initiative also offers Smart Park incentives, including two-year waivers of land lease and maintenance fees, available until September 30, 2027. Governor Sumet Tangprasert emphasized the goal of reducing time from investment decision to business operation.
