Croatia says 2.7 billion dollar figure was value of Yugoslav military property in Montenegro, not a new claim

Croatia has clarified that it has not submitted a formal claim to Montenegro for 2.7 billion US dollars, contrary to recent interpretations. The figure was mentioned by Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman during discussions about unresolved succession issues from the former Yugoslavia. According to diplomatic sources, the amount represents the estimated total value of military property from the former Yugoslav state that ended up in Montenegro, including vessels taken from Croatia. Montenegrin officials expressed shock, but Croatia says the issue is not new and was discussed before. The clarification comes ahead of a meeting on the disputed training ship Jadran.
