On September 15, 2026, in Belgrade, Serbia, Masdar and Taaleri Energia officially launched the Chibuk 2 wind farm, a 154 MW project in the municipality of Kovin. This brings the combined capacity of Chibuk 1 and Chibuk 2 to 312 MW, enough to supply about 178,800 households. The project is part of Serbia's strategy to increase renewable energy, aiming for 3.5 GW of wind and solar by 2030. It will reduce CO2 emissions by 311,000 tonnes annually. The event was attended by Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Đedović Handanović and UAE Ambassador Ahmed Hatem Almenhali.
