Germany accuses Russian GRU member of planning hybrid attack on Leipzig airport
In August, a drone with explosives was found at Leipzig airport in Germany, linked to a hybrid attack. Investigators suspect Oleg Le, a member of the Russian GRU, coordinated the attack, with a second suspect identified as Belarusian Andrei Ka. The explosives were likely smuggled from Bulgaria and Serbia. In response, Germany has closed the Russian Consulate in Bonn and a cultural center in Berlin, while Russia denies involvement.
