Spanish fashion retailer Zara withdraws children's Halloween costume resembling Nazi concentration camp uniforms

Spanish fashion retailer Zara has withdrawn a children's Halloween costume from its stores and online shop after customers and social media users said it resembled the uniforms worn by prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. The costume, marketed as a 'Halloween groom' outfit, featured blue-and-white stripes, prints that looked like barbed wire, and patches resembling prisoner numbers. Zara Home issued a statement regretting any misunderstanding but did not explain why internal checks missed the resemblance. This is not the first time Zara has faced criticism for Nazi-like designs; in 2014 it pulled a shirt with a yellow star, and in 2007 it sold a bag with swastika-like symbols.
