Union of OIC News Agencies and International AI Ethics Centre Sign Cooperation Agreement in Riyadh

On September 16, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) and the International Centre for Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE) signed a memorandum of understanding. The signing took place on the sidelines of the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI (GFEAI 2026), held from September 14 to 17. The agreement aims to promote freedom of expression, media development, and a culture of peace, aligning with UNESCO's strategic objectives. The memorandum was signed by UNA's Director General Mohammed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami and ICAIRE's Director General Dr. Majed bin Ali Al-Shehri.
