Drone strike kills four women in Damazin, Sudan, rights groups say

In Sudan, a drone strike on Wednesday hit the Al-Hijra neighborhood in Damazin, the capital of Blue Nile state, killing four women and wounding 12 civilians, according to local rights groups. The victims were from the same family. The attack also damaged a mosque and several homes. The Emergency Lawyers group blamed the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, but the RSF did not comment. The strike is part of the ongoing civil war between the RSF and the Sudanese military, which has killed at least 150,000 people and displaced millions. The UN and rights groups have condemned the attack and called for accountability.
